Support for Queenslanders experiencing work-related psychological injury

Get in touch

You don't have to work it out alone.

The Workers’ Psychological Support Service (WPSS) provides free, independent, and confidential support to Queensland workers experiencing a work-related psychological injury.

Our experienced social workers offer compassionate guidance and practical assistance during challenging times, helping workers access the community services and supports they need to aid their recovery and wellbeing.

We can provide information, and connection to services such as:

  • Mental health support

  • Financial counselling and advice services

  • Housing and homelessness services

  • Community support services

How the service works.

WPSS operates under a brief intervention model, providing short-term support and guidance rather than ongoing counselling or case management.

Our goal is to help workers identify appropriate supports and connect with relevant services as quickly as possible.

The service is available to all Queensland workers via a toll-free telephone service, Monday to Friday, from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

This is not a crisis service.

If you, or someone you know, are in distress please call one of these numbers:

  • Lifeline: 13 11 14

  • Beyond Blue: 1300 22 46 36

  • 13YARN: 13 92 76

  • Suicide Call Back Service: 1300 659 467

  • Mental Health Access Line: 1300 642 255

If you or someone else is in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health crisis, call 000 or attend your nearest emergency department.

You can contact the Workers’ Psychological Support Service through the toll-free telephone number

1800 370 732 or via email at info@wpss.org.au
